Many FIDs secure the research infrastructure for scholars in Germany. To strengthen our services we want to point to the FIDs closest connected to our fields and thus contribute to a reliable and lively network of knowledge and resources among scholars and librarians alike. The FID Allgemeine und Vergleichende Literaturwissenschaft, or avldigital, is based at the University Library Johann Christian Senckenberg in Frankfurt/Main and has been funded by the DFG since 2016.
The FID for Book Studies, Library and Information Science is jointly based at the Herzog August Library in Wolfenbüttel (HAB), Leipzig University Library (UBL), and the Institute for Library and Information Science at Humboldt University in Berlin (IBI). The FID BBI has been funded by the DFG since 2017.
The FID Performing Arts is based at the University Library Johann Christian Senckenberg in Frankfurt/Main and has been working for their research communities since 2015.
The Specialised Information Service for Historial Studies, or historicum.net, is responsible for the field of history from the early medieval period onwards. This FID is based at the Bavarian State Library as well as the Deutsches Museum in Munich and has been working for its research community since 2016. Historicum.net is an official partner of the FID AAC.
The FID Jüdische Studien, or Specialized Information Service for Jewish Studies is a joint project of the University Library Johann Christian Seckenberg at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main and Hochschule Mannheim - University of Applied Sciences and has been funded by the German Research Foundation since 2016.
The FID Media is based at Leipzig University Library, Marburg University Library, and the Institute of Media Studies at Philipps University Marburg and has been active in service of their research community since 2014.
The FID Lateinamerika, Karibik und Latino Studies is based at the Ibero-American Institute of the Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz (IAI) in Berlin and has been awarded its second funding phase by the DFG in October 2020.
The FID for the Romance Studies is based at the Bonn University and State Library and the State and University Library Hamburg and has been working for its research communities since 2016. The Hub of Computing & Data Science (HCDS) of the University of Hamburg has joined the project as a new partner for the 4th phase of this FID.
