For these databases the Library AAC has negotiated national licenses, which you can access through your home institution's library (within the IP range of your institutional network or via your local DBIS) with no need for any additional registration.
FID Licenses
In addition, the FID AAC co-finances access to the digital archives of historical British and American newspapers that are available via the FID Geschichtswissenschaften.

To access these databases, you have to create an FID-account: Please follow our manual or the steps on the KfL website of the FID Geschichtswissenschaft.
All databases licensed by the FID AAC have been negotiated via the Kompetenzzentrum für Lizenzierung (KfL). Most licenses also allow access for individuals not associated with a university or research institution. Please check out the descriptions for each database on the KfL website of the FID AAC.
